The Lounge was "slashdotted." Slashdot linked to a Lounge thread and, slashdot being an extremely high traffic website, the folks following the link used up the LL's bandwidth. I don't know how long it'll be down.
Many Lurker refugees are inhabiting the Amazon Basin forums for the time being.
