Did the 76 Cougar have a frame or was it a uni-body??

i dont think so, all car makers went to a unibody type construction in the late 60's early 70's. this is true for all cars, trucks are still framed. my 1969 and 70 cougars were unibody.

Actually, there is frame. very few cars have been unibody in the past. They are structurally garbage if you put any kind of power or weight into them. The fox body mustangs are unibody, but this '76 is frame, just like my '78.

i went and had my cougar weighed 4215lbs with me in it and half a tank of gas. Without me, it weighs less than 4180
