Do not know about Malaysia.
But in Thailand there are alot in CHiang Mai area. For example if you like joining a group to trek to Doi Inthanon, or in CHiang Dao areas and also in CHiang Rai they have almost daily departure.

You can contact Trek Thailand for Doi Inthanon plus transportation. We do have one small guesthouse in Chiang Mai who arrange treks to Doi INthanon. Or you can just travel to CHiang Mai and find one without much difficulties.

In Khao Sok national park in the south of Thailand Treetop River Hut arrange elephant ride, jungle canoeing, and also trekking into the rain forest. They charge about 800 Baht for a 2 Hrs elephant ride to a waterfall, etc. in the forest for one person. For canoe paddling on the small river into the forest they would charge you about 600 Baht per person for 2 hrs. YOu do not need to book over the internet.

Treetop river hut is located just opposite the park's headquarters which is 2 km from the highway route 401. It is better to go there from SUrat Thani. The branch off to the park is at km 109. You can book the travel and treetop rooms at trek thailand. Being inside the national park one advantage is that you will pay the park's entrance fee ( 200 Baht/person ) only one time as long as you stay inside the park.

Regards,
Shein
