Is it possible to make your own flexifoil kite, i want to get into kite jumping, but require a larger kite and cannot afford one of the recommended..

How many square feet should i consider, how wide should i have it and what do i have to consider for air flow.

I just bought a symphony 1.8 and it is fun to play with but I am now just considering it a pattern for a bigger kite.

Doug,

This is Chris Moore and I have recently received some very exciting information. There is a new powerkite that has been developed that is extremely affordable. In fact it is so affordable that it is going to be cheaper than making one!

The kite is a 5.0 square meter foil type/ram air kite. It is a quad line kite so you can reverse launch the kite when it crashes. It will include a control bar with a safety release system and all four quad flying lines. It will also include a training video.

Price is $299.00

A set of quad flying lines and a control bar can easily cost a couple of hundred dollars... This might be cheaper than going through the trouble of making a kite.

I will have this kite available for sale after the first of the year.
